Chelsea Clinton Visit!

On October 21, Chelsea Clinton visited VLUS as a stop on her book tour for her new book It's Your World: Get Informed, Get Inspired & Get Going! After a presentation about what inspired her as a young student and what students now inspire her, Chelsea spent a good deal of time answering thoughtful questions from the students in the audience, such as "What can we do to make a change right now?" and "What are your thoughts on why gender equality around the world is still so difficult to achieve?" Students and teachers worked hard in preparing for Chelsea's visit by reading passages of her book and thoughtfully reflecting about the ways that the world needs young people to start making changes to our world right now. Chelsea's book and presentation inspired VLUS students to pledge how they would get involved on a local, national, or global issue of interest to them.
