6th Grade News
Welcome, Grade 6 Families! We are busy getting to know your children, helping to create community and establishing class and home routines for being a successful sixth grader. Students have learned how to use Google Classroom to access projects and homework: have them show some of their work!

World Languages | French
Senora Oksana and Madame Laura are working together this fall to teach an Introductory unit to our 6th graders. Students are learning new vocabulary, greetings, and how to introduce themselves. Ask your child how to say hello.
Seventh grade students learning French and Spanish are using adjectives to describe their neighborhood, city, and how to get from place to place safely following directions and street signs.

In French, Eighth grade students have written their first pen pal letter to middle schoolers in Besançon, France. If you know of potential Spanish speaking pen pal opportunities, please contact Sra. Oksana.

Please attend our Grade 6 Advisory Breakfast, October 18, 2018 from 8:30-9:05AM to check out some of your student’s work. If you can, bring a breakfast goodie to share.

We have really enjoyed getting to know families during our Listening Conferences. If you haven’t signed up for one yet, contact your child’s Advisor.

7th Grade News
Seventh graders are working diligently on their studies across all subjects. The seventh grade teaching team encourages families to support their child at home by talking with them about their weekly agendas and by logging onto the Aspen Portal. If you have questions about Aspen, please contact your child’s advisor or Matt Sadowski, our Guidance Counselor.

Listening Conferences are well on their way! Thank you to all the parents who spoken with us so far. If you haven’t yet set up a time to meet with your child’s advisor, no worries! It’s never too late!. We want to hear about your learner and answer any questions you may have about seventh grade. Please contact your child’s advisor to schedule a time to talk in person or over-the-phone.
