Last month for Black History month, the 7th Grade GSA worked on researching and designing posters about important queer and trans-Black people throughout history. Students designed a bulletin board and a website with their people: Marsha P. Johnson, Angela Davis, Lil Nas X, Gladys Bentley, Patrisse Cullors, Sha'carri Richardson, Audre Lourde, Byron Rushing, Brittney Griner, and Lori Lightfoot. Our hope was to capture the intersections of queer and trans identities and Black identity. If you are ever in the school building the posters are on display between rooms 310 and 311.
