Arts NightOn Wednesday, January 23rd, VLUS had its annual Winter Arts Night. At 5:30PM families gathered in the hallways of Vassal Lane to see artwork from Ms. Seeran's students. The artwork showcased a broad range of artwork from students who had art during the first semester. Madame Laura also had a Silent Auction in her classroom to benefit the French field trip coming up this spring.

Students in 8th grade strings, chorus and band participated in a concert. The concert opened with the 8th grade string players performing Pachelbel's "Canon in D".

Ms. Havelin led the 6th grade chorus to perform "Zum Gali Gali", "I Ask for One Day", and "How Far I'll Go" from Moana. The 7th grade chorus performed the winter classic "Winter Wonderland" and the 8th grade chorus performed "Fireflies" by Owl City. The 7th and 8th grade choruses concluded their performance with "Modim Anachnu Lach" and "White Winter Hymnal".

Following the choruses, Mr. Cross led the 6th grade band in a performance of music from the movie Black Panther. The night concluded with music from the movie The Incredibles and "Troika" performed by the 7th and 8th grade bands.

Congratulations to all of the artists and performers for a fabulous display of the performing and visual arts at Vassal Lane! VLUS hopes to see you at the Spring Arts Night on Tuesday, June 11th!
