HMNH8th grade students are taking science in new directions. 21 students attended the HMNH Museum lecture on “An Evolutionary Journey Through Domestication” and ten attended the lecture on “The Peril and Promise of Solar Geoengineering”. The next lecture is in the Evolution Matters Series on Nov 7; “Adversity, Belonging, and Survival Among Baboons”.

Creativity strikes when 8th graders repurpose, reuse and recycle common items such as toilet paper tubes, pens, LP records, soda cans and plastic grocery bags. Winners include earrings from a pen, cookie cutters from a soda can, personal cough catcher from toilet paper tubes, clock from LP, and a snack server from light fixture.
